1 Day Efficient Brass Playing Workshop

When: 20 August 2016 - 10am till 4pm

Where: York (venue to be decided once number of attendees known)

Cost: £60.00 (I will invoice you once you've signed up. To be paid by 20 July 2016).

The workshop is designed to assist brass musicians in understanding the mechanics and processes involved in playing their instruments and is suitable for all regardless of age or experience.

The following fundamental techniques will be covered:

1. Correct inhalation and controlled exhalation

2. Playing in a relaxed manner and removing unnecessary tension

3. Embouchure formation

4. Sound production

5. Articulation

6. Changing pitch and extending range through correct embouchure shape control

7. 'Warming up' correctly

The Workshop will include many opportunities for attendees to try the techniques discussed in

a fun and encouraging environment so bring your instrument!
